It is not just the TV and bowl revenue, though that is substantial. It is also the better schedules that they provide. I know you feel that a game against BC brings in about as much money as a game against OSU, but every other objective person recognizes it does not. People do not donate money to get better tickets to the BC game.

Notice how each ACC school is WAY WAY behind similar caliber programs from their home states. Clemson's millions behind USEC, FSU's millions behind Florida. VT's millions behind almost everyone, including WVU and Maryland. $100 million is a conservative number. Look at the extra tens of millions Texas A&M and Maryland are rolling in thanks to moves to top tier leagues. Anyhow, keep the blinders on if you would like.
